What is a Financial Coach?

A financial coach is a professional who helps individuals, couples and business owners understand and improve their financial situation through education, goal setting, planning and guidance.

Unlike financial advisors, who may focus on investment strategies and financial planning, financial coaches concentrate on foundational financial practices.  Financial coaches DO NOT handle investments or insurance directly. Rather, we surround ourselves with teams of experts who we trust and who we will refer our clients to for assistance with other financial products and services.

Financial coaches work with clients to help them develop skills such as budgeting, cash flow, saving, debt reduction and elimination, aiming to free up cash and foster long-term financial stability and literacy.

Financial coaches often address the emotional aspects of money management, helping our clients identify and overcome psychological barriers that may impede their financial success. By providing personalized advice and support, financial coaches empower individuals to take control of their finances and make informed decisions that align with their personal goals and values.

Financial coaches are focused on goal setting, values, improving cash flow, behavior, financial literacy and reaching the goals set. Financial coaches cannot provide investment advice. A financial coach will help you get a good working budget and cash flow for you, your business, or family and work on the behaviors around it ensuring your money is going toward the things you value the most.
